Claims Service is mandated by ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) for all gTLDs. This notification service sends a warning to trademark holders as well as domain registrants about possible infringement. It does not prevent a third party from registering a domain. It only sends an alert message to users.

What if multiple trademark owners applied for the registration of the same domain name?

Normally the domain will be granted based on first-come-first-serve basis. There are also times when the domain is made available for private auction. The highest bidder will be entitled to register the domain.
