Part 2: How to Protect my Brand from Cybersquatting?
URS stands for Uniform Rapid Suspension System, which is a process that provides trademark owners with a quick and easy way to take down websites infringing on their intellectual property rights.
It is an alternative/complement to the UDRP, which is a costlier and longer process, ideal for cases in which infringement may be easily demonstrated. The key difference between the two processes is that through the URS domain names may be locked, and if applicable suspended, but they are never transferred to whose intellectual property rights have been infringed.
To file a URS, the complainant party must show:
1) That the complainant is the trademark holder and has legitimate rights or interests in the domain name.
2) That the domain name has been registered and used with bad faith by the current holder.
URS is only supported on some new gTLDs that were delegated after 2013.

If your rights are being affected by the registration or use of a domain name, we may be able to help you. For reference, the price for filing a complaint, assuming a maximum of 10 domain names is US $500.
